On October 12th & 13st the Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation will be sponsoring the 2nd Annual Edward Taylor Coombs Lacrosse Fall Ball Shootout event hosted by Hatboro-Horsham High School, Marist College and Ursinus College. This event will take place at Hatboro-Horsham. Saturday the 12th, will feature Division 1 and Division II Men’s teams from Marist,
The Inaugaral ETC Fall Ball Memorial event was held on Saturday, 10/20 and Sunday, 10/21/12. It was a successful event with over 1,600 spectators in attendance. Proceeds will distributed to the Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation (ETC), for academic scholarships and education as well as the research of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). UPDATE!!The 2nd ANNUAL TEAM EC/RN 5K raised $9K this year and exceeded the original goal of $6K!! The funds raised will continue to go to scholarships to students who not only demonstrate strong academic achievement but also strive to achieve the good-hearted nature and responsibility that both Edward and Robert gave back to the world

01/26/2012 In August, the Marist community mourned the loss of Edward Coombs, a rising sophomore on the Men’s lacrosse team. Coombs, 19, lost his life in a car accident in his hometown of Horsham Township, Pa. Those closest to him called him Eddie and he was well-liked by everyone.

10/17/2011 This weekend was a time for remembering three SOL alums who lost their lives much too soon. On Saturday, close to 800 runners, joggers and walkers took part in the Team EC/RN 5K Run and Walk at Hatboro-Horsham High School. The first annual 7v7 Edward Coombs Memorial Flag Football Tournament will take place at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field on the campus of Marist College from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19. Former men\’s lacrosse player and current student assistant coach R.J. Discher is running the tournament for his senior capping project.
