Dean Millard’s historic journey as Villanova’s first Black Student Body President is a story of resilience, leadership, and dedication to service. From a young age, Millard aspired to attend Villanova, and once there, he fully immersed himself in student government, ultimately becoming a transformative leader on campus. His tenure has brought about notable changes, including sustainability initiatives, free menstrual products, and active advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Even in the face of national challenges to DEI programs, Millard remained steadfast in his commitment to making Villanova a more inclusive space for all students.

What makes his journey even more special is that Dean Millard was a recipient of an ETC Foundation scholarship, which helped him pursue his education and leadership aspirations. At ETC, we believe in empowering young leaders who are passionate about making a difference, and Millard’s impact exemplifies that mission. His perseverance, dedication to service, and advocacy for meaningful change align with our commitment to supporting students in reaching their fullest potential.
As Millard prepares to graduate, he hopes that his legacy will inspire future generations—especially students from underrepresented backgrounds—to step into leadership roles and make a lasting impact.
