For the fifth year in a row, Marist College has selected a men\’s lacrosse player to wear the No. 34 jersey in honor of Edward Taylor Coombs, who wore that number proudly as a Red Fox.
In continuing Edward\’s legacy, the college chooses as its \”highest honor,\” a senior lacrosse player who is \”most deserving\” of wearing the coveted jersey. For the 2019 men\’s lacrosse season, senior midfielder and team captain Matthew Selts will wear the No. 34 jersey.
