Marist College will be hosting the 5th Annual Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation Fall Lacrosse Tournament on Oct. 16. Admission is $5 and all proceeds benefit the ETC Foundation.
The event was established by the ETC Foundation and Edward\’s father, Eric Coombs. Over the last four years, the Fall Ball Tournament was held at Hatboro-Horsham High School, Edward\’s alma mater, which is located in Horsham, Pennsylvania.
Hundreds of Division I, Division II and Division III male and female lacrosse athletes from more than a dozen colleges took to the fields for previous Fall Ball Shootouts.
Exciting Competition and Community Support
This year will be the first time that the Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation Fall Lacrosse Tournament will be hosted at Marist College, where Edward attended college. The event will again feature a men\’s and women\’s bracket (see schedule below). The annual fundraising competition remains one of the largest fall tournaments in the country and has helped build Eddie\’s outstanding legacy across the country. Both Marist College and the ETC Foundation are excited to bring the lacrosse community together at Marist!
Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy Center at Boston University. Funds have also been distributed through scholarships to more than 60 college-bound students from Edward\’s hometown and the Philadelphia region. The Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation also supports the United Negro College Fund, Frontiers, Jack and Jill of America, The Links Inc. and Camp Rainbow Inc. of Montgomery County.
