Marist College hosted the 5th Annual Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation Fall Lacrosse Tournament on Oct. 16.
The event was established by the ETC Foundation and Edward’s father, Eric Coombs. Over the previous four years, the Fall Ball Tournament was held at Hatboro-Horsham High School, Edward’s alma mater, which is located in Horsham, Pennsylvania. For 2016, his college alma mater played host for the fall ball competition.
The annual fundraising competition remains one of the largest
fall tournaments in the country and has helped build Eddie’s outstanding legacy across the country.
Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy Center at Boston University. Funds have also been distributed through scholarships to more than 60 college-bound students from Edward’s hometown and the Philadelphia region. The Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation also supports the United Negro College Fund, Frontiers, Jack and Jill of America, The Links Inc. and Camp Rainbow Inc. of Montgomery County.
