Eighty golfers braved threats of torrential rain to support the Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation\’s seventh annual golf outing.
Held on July 23 at Commonwealth National Golf Club, the daylong golf outing and fundraiser also featured a gourmet lunch and dinner, cocktails, as well as raffle prizes, a 50-50 game and a scholarship awards ceremony.
The seventh annual golf outing was sponsored and supported by more than 65 businesses and local families. Cruise Planners, LLC was the Tournament Sponsor. Gold Sponsors were Valley Central Veterinary Referral Center; Rigotti Family; and LRW Solutions. In addition, friends and family of the Coombs family traveled from far distances to lend support, help register golfers and make the day a success.
During the scholarship awards dinner, Eric Coombs thanked everyone in attendance, especially the Foundation\’s ongoing support.
\”None of this, not any of this, could be possible without you,\” he said, adding that the continuous support speaks volumes about his son, Edward. \”It resonates to who he was in the 19 years we had him. I do know in his 19 years he created all of this. In his 19 years he superseded whatever I\’m going to do in my lifetime.\”
