For the second year in a row, Edward Taylor Coombs’ alma mater, Marist College, will be hosting a Fall Lacrosse Tournament and Youth Clinic. Held on Oct. 15, the tournament benefits our Foundation and will help us in our ongoing mission of providing scholarships to standout scholars and athletes.
The sixth annual fundraising event will feature competition among Division I, Division II and Division III male and female lacrosse athletes. Youth can brush up on their playing skills by participating in the youth clinic. Led by Marist College coaches and players, the clinic is geared for students in kindergarten through eighth-grade. For only $20, participants will receive a T-shirt, admission to the lacrosse skills clinic and an all-day pass to the tournament. To learn more or print out a registration form, click here.
The annual fundraising competition remains one of the largest fall tournaments and has helped build Edward’s outstanding legacy across the country. Both Marist College and the ETC Foundation are excited to again bring the lacrosse community together at Marist!
Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy Center at Boston University. Funds have also been distributed through scholarships to more than 80 college-bound students from Edward’s hometown and the Philadelphia region. The Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation also supports the United Negro College Fund, Frontiers, Jack and Jill of America, The Links Inc. and Camp Rainbow Inc. of Montgomery County.
