2013 Scholarship Winners

Edward Taylor Coombs Scholarship Award Winners for 2013

Julie Carlin, awarded $5,000.00, is an honors student with a stellar academic record and outstanding leadership in sports, service to her school and volunteer activities. Her involvement includes the Captain of the Tennis team, Team captain of Relay for Life, Editor and Webmaster for the Key Club and a member of the National Honor Society . She also has worked consistently and volunteered in her community.

Meghan Pellechchia, awarded $3,500.00, is also a member of the National Honor Society with an outstanding academic record. Megan’s leadership includes Captain of the Swim team and involvement in a number of activities including the Student Council. She lives out her passion through work experience at a local hospital and serving as a swim instructor for children among her many community service activities.

Taylor Hunkins, awarded $2,500.00, a member of the National Honor Society has served in a number of roles culminating in becoming the president of the Theater Club and is also active with Orchestra, Student Council, and the Choir. He also participates actively in several community service projects at school and in his community.

James Murphy, awarded $1,000.00 (star Lacrosse player who will attend Marist)

Jeffrey O’Brien, awarded $1,000.00 (stellar student athlete)
